How the World Bank, the African Develoment Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank work on women empowerment and gender equality

The Multilateral Development Banks have worked on gender
equality for more than 20 years. This paper gives a presentation of
the World Bank, the African Development Bank, The Asian Development
Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank current policies and
organisation of their work on women empowerment and gender
equality. The paper identifies a numer of "best practices"; and
ends with a note on what bilateral donors may do to strengthen this
work.
